Readers Writers Down Under Event #RWDU15

After travelling 3,000 km (by car) I'm finally home and unpacked ... okay, I'm not really unpacked but I'm getting there!  I've at least put all of my pretty new books on my bookshelf and that is the most important part!

Wow!  What a hectic 11 days!  My family holiday / signing / getaway was so much fun!  Hitting the theme parks with the kids and the fabulous Kubisch family was a blast!  Meeting and hanging out with Ella Frank was surreal and awesome and something I will never forget!  Catching up with friends and meeting new ones was the highlight - the signing was just a bonus!

What a well put together event!  I can only imagine what an incredibly hard task it would be to organise something of the magnitude of RWDU!  The organisers did a great job. I particularly loved the panels by Kirsten Ashley, Abbi Glines, Alex Adsett and Kate Cuthbert.  These ladies are an inspiration.  Their talks were informative and fun, offering insight and advice, and entertaining us all along the way!

I want to give a big thanks to the organisers of RWDU and to all the people that stopped by my table. Those of you that purchased my books, took a photo with me or stole my crappy autograph - I applaud you!  You made this author very happy!

A dream come true - finally meeting Ella!
(She's even better in person!)

What a line up!  An honour to be amongst those names!

Congratulations to Lauren Mules who won the proof copy of 'Eraser: The Complete Collection' on the day!

An extra big thanks to my beautiful daughter Madi for being my assistant, and for being almost as book crazy as me, and my hubby David for doing all the driving and for keeping the kids occupied, fed and clothed while I did my thing.  Love you both!

Now I've run out of excuses; I must write!  As usual I have a lot of projects in the air, it's putting my focus on one in particular that is the problem!  Seth, I'm coming for you...

LAST CHANCE TO WIN!

If you're heading to Readers and Writers Down Under on the Gold Coast this March you could win a limited edition Eraser: The Complete Collection paperback!  For every book pre-ordered, or sold on the day, you will earn one free entry into the draw...

(You can take a sneak peak at the paperback on this post.)

However, due to the fact I order these books from overseas I need to place that order for stock now.  I will be selling a limited number of books at the table on the day of the signing, but if you would like to guarantee your purchase you will need to pre-order.

Payment is not required until the end of Feb, however the form will be closing late tomorrow night (Jan 31).  So this is your last chance!

You can place your pre-order HERE.

GOING TO RWDU? I HAVE AN EXCLUSIVE GIVEAWAY JUST FOR YOU!

HOW WOULD YOU LIKE TO WIN A SIGNED, LIMITED EDITION 'ERASER: THE COMPLETE COLLECTION' PAPERBACK?

Read on!

I wanted to see what the whole Eraser series would look like in one pretty package.  So I created the cover...

Wrote the blurb:

He was the man with no name …
Sexy, demanding, mysterious

From behind the bar, she knew his routine – with the lift of his

finger, scotch and women were his.

She knew his game and she was willing to play.

Yet for Mackenzie, one encounter wasn’t enough.

She was hooked and he was

the drug that she craved.

He told her one night, no repeats,

but Mackenzie had captured his attention.

As a businessman, he wasn’t opposed to bending the rules

to get deals done … but for her he might just break them.

Nothing about staking his claim on the intelligent and beautiful

Mackenzie was going to be simple.

Desire and need they have,

it’s honesty and trust they need to work on.
And secrets always have a way of complicating things ...

And filled in the pages with all sorts of finer details...

to make one special book to sit on my shelf!

The almost 500 pages of 'Eraser: The Complete Collection' printed paperback turned out like this:

At this point in time I have no intention of making this available as a title for sale.  It was purely a fun project for myself.

HOWEVER, I happen to have a spare proof copy.  So if you're attending the Readers and Writers Downunder 2015 Event in Queensland this March you have a chance to WIN it!!!

Here's how:

* Every book purchased at the event will earn ONE raffle ticket entry into the draw (buy two books, get two chances, three books, three chances, etc.)

* Books can either be purchased on the day (I will have limited stock available for sale) or be pre-ordered HERE

* The raffle will be drawn at the end of the RWDU event on Saturday 28th of March, 2015

* The winner will be notified via SMS and will need to collect the book from me in Queensland

GOOD LUCK!!!

Happy Holidays!

This has been one helluva year for me!  For the first time ever, I got to experience what it feels like to be a real author - I attended two amazing book signings!  The first event was Indie Authors Down Under (read about my experience here) and then there was the Sydney Author Event (see my last post here).  It was such an honour to be an 'attending author' at both of these events!  I loved meeting some of my favourite authors and readers, and making new connections, too.

Some of the very best people I have met this year are my street team members.  Megan’s Minions have made this year one to remember! Their kindness, friendship and support mean the world to me and I'm so happy to be able to share this journey with them.  They have given up their time to pimp my work, read and review my books, and make me some bloody awesome teasers, too.  (Check out my Pinterest boards to see what they have done by clicking here.)  One in particular stands out for me, it makes me get teary whenever I read it...

There is nothing I love more than to hear from a reader that has connected with my characters and stories.  So thank you, from the bottom of my heart, to every reader that has picked up one of my books and given it a whirl.  Thank you to the ones that have contacted me, by commenting on my page or sending me messages, to share their thoughts.  A particularly large thanks to those that have taken the time to leave a review.  Words cannot express how life-changing you all are!

Somehow this year I published six titles, entered the Top 100 Erotic Romance Authors on Amazon a couple of times and my books reached Number 1!!! more than once in different genres on there too, and I still managed to work on upcoming projects.  (Yeah, I was a little busy!)

Next year promises to be even bigger!  I have another two signings - You can catch me at Readers and Writers Downunder (now taking pre-orders for this one here) and Fictionally Yours, Melbourne.  My goal is to publish another five titles in 2015 (we'll see how that goes!) each a little different from the last.  Lots of exciting surprises in store!

As the year comes to a close I just want to wish each and everyone of you all the best for the festive season!  I hope your holidays are spent with family and friends and are full of laughter and love. Thank you for your support.

I'll see you all next year!

Readers & Writers Down Under Convention 2015 (#RWDU15)

I attended my first ever signing this year, Indie Authors Down Under on the Gold Coast.  It was an amazing experience that I will never forget! AND it's on again next year!  It has been renamed, relocated, revamped and restyled and I'm very happy to announce - I will be going back!

The Readers & Writers Down Under Convention will be held at the QT Hotel on the Gold Coast, March 27 to 28, 2015.  I'm looking forward to meeting fans, authors and bloggers, as well as catching up with great friends.  I'll be taking the family next year too.  Cannot wait!
