How to Liv Anniversay Celebration!
How to Liv is already one year old! Doesn't time fly? To celebrate the anniversary of publishing this novel I'm declaring it 'Joel & Liv Week'. For the next seven days I'll be sharing quotes, excerpts and teasers on my Facebook page to celebrate this sweet Aussie couple.

The light
was dimming around us but when I pulled from his embrace, I could still see the
light and the love in his eyes. I could
also see the fear, fear that he had lost me, fear that he could lose me still. I stood, mesmerised by him. It began to rain. Droplets ran down his face and dripped off
the end of his nose. I couldn’t decipher
which were tears and which were raindrops, but by the timbre in his voice and
the shaking of his shoulders I’d guess it was about even.

Valentine’s
Day. It had been such a busy night and
Mackenzie was relieved to be finishing soon.
She could hardly wait for the next ten minutes to pass. She watched the last clients filter out the
door and another man enter, this one she recognised, Sir’s driver. He was carrying a long white box which he
silently passed to her. She placed it on
top of the hardwood bar and lifted the lid to expose the most exquisite, long-stemmed,
deep pink, gloriosa flower, encased in white tissue paper. There was a gold envelope beside it. She slid a small card from the envelope and read
the impossibly neat, perfectly impeccable handwriting.
Oh yes, she couldn’t wait to finish work!
